What we do
Home accessibility renovation services in Greater Victoria
Adapt & Thrive designs and builds accessibility and aging-in-place changes for homes across Greater Victoria, from a single grab bar to a fully accessible bathroom. Every project is built to Canadian standards and, where it matters, to an occupational therapist's recommendations.
In short: we build the physical changes that help people stay safe and independent at home. We do not provide clinical assessments.
Our services
- Walk-in and curbless showers: Tub-to-shower conversions, low-threshold walk-in showers and curbless roll-in showers, with seats, supports and safe water temperatures.
- Grab bars and handrails: Supports anchored into solid backing and placed for the person, in bathrooms, on stairs and at entry steps.
- Ramps and accessible entrances: Ramps, rebuilt steps, handrails, porch lifts and level entries, planned for sloped lots and wet weather.
- Doorway widening and thresholds: Wider openings, outward-swinging bathroom doors and smooth floor transitions for walkers and wheelchairs.
- Aging-in-place planning: A staged plan for what to change now, what to prepare for and what can wait.
